We're going to leave on Sunday, for about a week-long search for Sting. We're bringing the computer, but I doubt that I'll have to get on at all. Turtle definitely won't.
Obviously, no luck so far on finding Sting... but we're going to keep looking, in case we can locate any Schools in the area, so we can cancel the outing. It's a slim chance, but we might be able to do it.
Well, I've got to fly now...

Ray Has Something To Say! (Turtle, too!)
Dear People,
Mudd is helping me write today! So now you guys can read it. Sting is still gone. I went looking for him today, earlier. Mudd got sleepy and went to bed on the cave ground.
When I got back from looking for Sting, he woke up and was all confused. It was really funny. But I couldn't laugh because it feels like it isn't fair to Sting. He's probably really scared, even more than us. He doesn't have anything to laugh about, so when I want to laugh, it feels like it's not fair.
So if you guys see Sting somewhere, or if you people find a School somewhere or something, he could be there so tell me ok? We are gonna go stay with Max's flock now because they are by here and they are gonna help us find Sting so yeah.
PLEASE HELP US FIND STING!
Bye,
Turtle
P.S: Oh now Ray wants to say something but Mudd is gonna write it for him.
Dear everybody reading this,
My name is Ray. I am Sting's twin brother and I really, really miss him. I want him to come back soon so the Flock can be not worried or sad or scared. Because they are. I cry a lot and think about what THEY are doing to Sting...
Which makes me even more scared. For him and for us. Please help.
From Ray

Sting Is Gone...
... like, we seriously can't find him. See, we kinda got captured by some branch of Itex. Obviously. I'm free, since I'm talking to you right now. Yeah. So me, Turtle, and Ray, kicked some guard butt out there, and escaped... but Sting got like moved to a different room, because they were testing him (ya know, making him find his little radar way through the mazes, and all that crap) and we were in our little prison beds, storing up our energy.
So we got out, and Sting got caught and moved to a different prison room (maybe even a different building) and we can't find him, like, anywhere. So if you guys could help... majorly awesome!
Right now we are in good old California, chilling with Max's flock (as in Fang, Iggy, etc.) trying to recouperate from our (TEMPORARY) loss of Sting, and I'm trying to make Turtle an account on here so she can post... but so far no luck. Ah, well.
So anyway... keep on commenting, people!

The Laptop Dilemma
Hey, everyone! Sorry I haven't been on for the past two days...
You probably want an explanation, don't you? Well, have a seat. This is a long story.
I'll tell it in a 3rd person narrative way, ok? So here we go. . .
Mudd and his Flock were flying over the Rockies, looking for a cave fit to land in. They had just found one, and swooped in, when they all collapsed onto the ground in exhaustion.
"Whoa!" gasped Sting, the most tirable of the group. "I can't even move my wings, man!" He elapsed into a fit of coughing, before sinking to his knees.
Turtle nodded. "Hey, Mudd. Let's see if you have... anything on your blog. That should get us... energized again. Right?"
Mudd nodded. "That sounds good. I'll get online right now." He opened his laptop, a fairly new Apple iBook, and pressed the POWER button. The screen flickered to life, coming on as a soft blue hue, with a silver apple in the middle, but with no bite. All as usual. But then it wheezed, and shut down again.
Ray came stumbling over. "What's wrong? I thought you were gonna turn it on, right? I mean, like, that's pretty... off looking, to me dude."
Mudd looked at the dirt-streaked, hopeful faces of his flock. He sighed, and muttered, "I guess I bumped it on the cave floor when we landed or something."
"What was that, Mudd?" Turtle asked. She had heard what he said, but had to make sure she wasn't hearing things. Mudd didn't make mistakes!
Mudd cleared his throat. "It musta gotten scratched up or something, and the memory got crushed. We can... er, 'get' a new computer when we get to Denver. Ok? It won't take even a day more."
Sting sat up, and breathed, "But... we're all tired. Won't we have to rest? I mean, I sure couldn't fly yet!"
Mudd agreed to a short rest, and the flock slept for 2 hours. Then they flew towards the city of Denver.
Ok so right here, I just have to say that I really had no clue what had happened to the computer. And still don't.
I'm gonna skip a bit here, and get onto when we actually GOT to Denver, over a day later.
As they walked down the streets of Denver, the flock saw a small Apple shop. They went inside and found an Air. "Whoa!!! Lookit this!" Shouted Ray at the top of his lungs, so that everyone in the store stared at him.
Mudd looked at the people. "What? Don't YOU think this computer is pretty cool? Besides, he's only 6."
Sting was looking at the desktops, while Turtle was examining the more practical laptops, like the iBook that they used to have. When a store clerk walked up to Mudd (who was standing in the doorway, looking around uncertainly) and asked him what he was looking for, he shrugged. "A small laptop that I could take with me on flights," he said, then looked shocked. Darn it. I said 'flights' I was planning on, like, 'long trips' or something... oh no.
But the clerk looked unruffled. "Yes, sir. Right this way." He walked over to the Airs, and gave a looooong speech on them. Mudd eventually tuned out, but he was saying something about how sleek and portable it was. YAWN!!!!!!
When he was FiNaLlY done, Mudd interjected, "How much is it?" He had a little gold nugget that he had found in the floor of a cave, but he wasn't sure what it was worth.
The clerk showed Mudd the price tag, thinking that this little kid couldn't possibly afford it, and where could his parents be, while Mudd held up the nugget. "Is this enough to buy it?" he asked, and the clerk looked amazed.
"Is that... is that REAL?!" he asked incredulously, and Mudd nodded. The clerk gave Mudd a few computer cases, 6 computers, and 4 iPhones, which Mudd handed out among the kids.
And now I'm in a book shop (called the Tattered Cover) in Denver, typing this on my new laptop.
Keep on Flyin!

Mudd's Got Mail!
Mudd-
Well, here I am again. Didn't mail you at the park place because I was busy keeping Nudge away from the computer to log onto here then. But here I am now, and I'm uber annoyed at you, man. DON'T PUT YOUR FREAKING EMAIL ON AUTO!!! It's not smart dude. NoT sMaRt!!!!
Oh well, I can't really stop you, can I? I see that you "accidentally" left it on auto yesterday... yeah right. As if anyone on Earth and beyond would believe that, especially me. You are crazed if ya think that, I'll tell you. Well, you only have 1 hit, but I suppose that's better than nothing, right? Oh, yeah, we have more than 1 million hits. I forgot to mention that, huh?
Well, I've got to fly... we're headed to the New York area, since we're touching states, and Nudge's been whining about wanting to fly around Lady Liberty for ages. Oh wait here's Max...
Hi, Mudd. I've got to say one thing... as IF! We are absolutely NOT flying around the Statue of Liberty. There are way too many people there, and it's just plain dangerous.
Ok, better go.
Yours,
Max
I'm not worried. If I know Angel and Nudge, they'll introduce Max to a cool store and keep her shopping while they fly... I'm not concerned, because the whole world knows about us by now anyway.
Well, I won't be writing for a few, so eau revoire for now, mate.
Fly on!

Flock Members
Members of the Flock
Hey, everyone! Some people have been asking me about the members of my Flock, so here's a short little post with some info on my group! (FYI, the ages are halfway between avian and human ages.)
STING- Ray's twin brother Sting, age 5, is about 3 feet 6, and weighs 27 pounds, the same weight as my friend Emily's cat. No, wait. Correction. Less. He has black hair and super-pale skin, with these bright green eyes. Avian age: 4 Human age: 6.5
RAY- Sting's twin, Ray, age 5, is (again) about 3 feet 6, and weighs 27 pounds, less than Emily's cat, who weighs 32 pounds. He has (once again) black hair and less pale yet still extremely pale skin, and has piercing green eyes. He and his brother can read each other's mind, but no one else's. Avian age: 4 Human age: 6.5
TURTLE- Turtle, age 7, the oldest and latest edition to my Flock, is calm and collected at the worst of times. She acts way older than her age, but yet not really that much older. She is about 4 feet tall and weighs 42 pounds at the most. She looks a LOT like me, with tawny hair and tan skin. She does, however, have a fixed eye color at dark brown. Her "power" is cuteness, because she is extremely adorable in that way that little kids can be. Avian age: 6 Human age: 7.5
EMILY- Okay, so Emily isn't really part of the Flock, but we stayed at her house in Minnesota once, so I consider her my friend. She's 11 years old in human years, and has long brown hair and blue eyes. She is super trustworthy, and never blabs about us when we're in the area. She has a big cat (see RAY) named Lucky, who is all black and really, really friendly. Turtle loves her and her dolls to heck and back.

Mudd's Got Mail!
Yo Mudd,
Fang here... and I hope like heck you don't have your email on automatic post. That's super annoying, ok? So anyway me and the Flock are in Philidellphia right now. I hope I spelled that right because I'm positive I didn't... oh well I have bad spelling skills anyway.
Well, if you DO have it on automatic...
HI EVERYONE!!! This is Fang. Giving away where we are to you, because Mudd might want to know. But I can't help it if he's forgetful. Whatever.
So I see that Max nicked my computer earlier, which is ok. I just wish she'd ask me, and I'd let her use it all she wanted. But nooo. She just had to be herself and snatch it... ah well.
I've got to go. We're going to a park reserve somewhere in Philly... so I'll probably mail you again when we get there. Oh no here comes Nudge trying to use the Widget Mirror... man is she obsessed with that thing!
Fly on!

Latest News From Max!
So Max has finally touched into the home base (me) and I've got some info on the Flock's location and moods and whatever. Don't be disappointed, she doesn't usually write the longest letters because she has to nick Fang's laptop. They're the longest when Fang writes.
So. Anyway. Here's her email... enjoy!
Mudd-
Flock n I are still here in the US. Fang's been a bit snippy... heard him the other night saying to Ig "How could she like this dude?" ... "A white suit. A white suit!" and "...that doesn't suck."
No clue what the heck he means. White coats in the area? That I like?!
Yours,
Max
Well, it isn't much, but I guess it's something, right? They're in the USA like me, and Fang is irritable. Probably about that video he posted on his blog earlier... what he said are like exact quotes of his message.
So anyway, gotta go!
Keep on Flyin!

P.S: I haven't responded yet; I need some ideas for what to say. Anyone got some? I'll include your questions if you want, of course. They always have time for questions if they're from me.

Anyone got a place? Please?
Hey there, all!
We're on the move again... still lookin for a place in Colorado or Minnesota (or somewhere in that area). Anyone near there, tell me asap, before we sleep in the trees or something. We're pretty much just cruisin' around the good ol' US of A right now... but some rest would really help!
Oh yeah... happy (day-after-the) 4th of July, by the way! Couldn't hop on the laptop yesterday... Ray and Turtle (Turtle's 7, a girl in my Flock) teamed up on me to go to this festival thing in Arizona, which we just happened to be flying over. Come on, they're persistent!
So anyway, there haven't been any Flyboy sightings or anything... and the only exciting thing that's happened lately was this little kid babbling about "Beeg boo-dees" to his mom (musta seen us land). The mother figured he'd seen a vulture or something, I guess, because she ignored him.
Get back to ya later!

Chillin' in California
California
Okay, so we're in California right now, and it's like 100 degrees. We're at the beach... somewhere in San Diego I think, and there are tons of people. I feel pretty claustrophobic, but I guess I'll live. Anyway, we're thinking about going somewhere colder, like Colorado or Minnesota or something. Anyone live somewhere like that? Me and my little Flock would love somewhere to crash.
And if anyone is wondering about the Chinatown thing, it wasn't our fault. See, I was flying around with Ray (who is 5, and part of my flock) and he saw this candy stand, and started flying like heck toward it, and, well... one thing led to another.
So everybody who got effected, sorry. I'm sure that everything will clean up somehow. And, to the candy guy: Sorry, but uh... don't be waving around your chocolate when a half-starved 5-year-old bird kid is around. They WILL try to get it.
Okay I have to go now but I'll try to post again today...
Keep on Flyin'!

Welcome!
Welcome to The Flock!
I know this isn't the real Flock, but I am part of that too. My name is Mudd, and I'm 9 years old in Avian years. I look a lot like Max, actually... not the same hair (hers is blond, mine is tawny), but the same eyes, and the same skin tone. That sort of thing. But I'm not related to her at all, other that the bird blood in me.
In plain human years, I'm 12. But I - and the rest of the Flock - have this system of aging that's WAY different from the humans' aging. The avian stuff kind of messed up our hormones, so we get older more slowly. Max had her first growth spurt at age 5, but that was the only one so far.
Anyway, I'll keep ya up to date on all that Flock stuff you wanna know, with more in there too, about the little Flock of my own.
Keep on Flyin!
